Airlia fled from her home, frantically moving through forms. Wolf to fox to dog to coyote to cat and each time flickering through wolf again to mimic Horus - though instead of black she was the deepest purple her body would allow her. She was scared for him, and of him in equal measures. Airlia also realised she was little match against the werewolf, and didn't want to fight him. She needed Arrow. The werewolf was immeasurably older and experienced than Horus, so might be able to talk or fight sense into him. She became human, then grew wings, her hands flickering through a sighting spell. Arrow of course was hunting in the ruins, so his new Mistress was fair in that respect. She flew swiftly to his position, trying to calm her nerves. Landing near him, he was wolf formed and eating - his whole face entering the carcass of a deer, that pale fur stained red as he lifted his face to her. Airlia? What is wrong?Airlia answered with a panicky whisper, "It's Horus. Horus has gone wild and stray and horrible and scary, Arrow please find him and rescue him from whatever has possessed him! I am scared." He turned to human shape and touched her arm lightly in comfort. "I will find him." He promised, before turning from her and into wolf once again. ~*~
Arrow bounded through the ruined city of Midian, sniffing the night air with a keen nose. The last vestiges of blood had been wiped clean, and he was in search of Horus. By a large pillar not too far from Airlia's dwelling he smelt something... strange. Arrow padded over and investigate the swirling colour that was the scent. He knew it, for something bad to a werewolf; wolfsbane. At these very low concentrations it merely made his head hurt, but Arrow could only guess at how much Horus must have consumed to get to the state where Airlia was scared. How did he ingest it? No matter, no time for that. He had to find him and quickly. The werewolf followed the faint scent with hesitance, trying to think on how he could reason with Horus. He found the obsidian werewolf eventually, killing. These were not the evil things of the ruins, nor prey, but humans. Arrow's stomach turned and anger flooded through him. Horus! He snarled, fur prickling with emotion, What are you doing?

Mauling the life from one person before jumping on another, and another, the Scent of blood and the screams of the diying inticed horus to greater highs in his blood lusting. One man tried to fight him with a sword. a group of his friends watched as horus tore through his makeshift armour with ease using the talon and sank his teeth into the mans head, he screamed as he died. as did his friends, knowing that their fate would be no better.
he killed, revelled in the blood and killed more.
the angry voice of arrow pierced through his reverie. Not responding but staring right into his eyes, open mouthed as saliva and torn meat fell from between his teath his snout was slick with blood. he roared as somehow the new tallents gifted to him by airlia took manifest in his rage and he grew in muscle mass three fold.

Arrow stood his ground regardless of the transformation that worried him so. But he had fought in Midian against all manners of beasts and forms - though perhaps none that looked quite so formidable as Horus did right now.
Still, adrenaline was urging him to fight. He needed to stay calm. The werewolf in front of him seemed indeed to have lost his mind as Airlia had said. Arrow had his confirmation of wolfsbane. Well. he was a better target for Horus's bloodlust than ordinary people. If he could just keep Horus away until the effects wore off then he would be safe without causing bloodshed.
Arrow growled low, in warning, looking up to the massive beast and showing he had no fear. Poor, dumb creature... Arrow muttered in the privacy of his own skull.
More vocally he shouted, Horus! You are poisoned by wolfsbane! This is not who you are. Stop, or I will stop you.

Horus Stared into arrows eyes. The blue fury of them lighting up the surrounding area of his obsidian face. His Silver teeth stained red with blood, he roared This is who we all are deep down arrow he replied with a voice that wasnt his.
and with that, he did battle with his mentor.
The muscle mass did nothing to slow him down, with frightening speed he jumped, clearing the twenty or so metres between the two wolves with a single bound, and swiped downwards with the tallon, towards arrow's head...

No! Arrow denied fiercely, leaping out of the way just in time from Horus's weapon. The werewolf was glad of recently eating, for he needed all his strength for such an encounter.
Nor could he contain the desire to take Horus out. Not to kill, but to stop this. He was so angry, incensed at needless violence.
The lithe, sleek, pale werewolf deftly jumped towards Horus, jaws open, aiming for the shoulder not augmented by human technology.

Horus howled in defiant agony as Arrows teeth sank into the hardened muscle of his shoulder. The pain traveled through him like a shockwave.
Horus shook off the blow as arrow jumped back after his attack. Blood poored from the wound to his right shoulder, suggesting it was deep. Growling, horus Countered with a fake bite that turned into another swipe of the talon, that whistled as it cut through the air, its microvibrations causing vorteces in the mist as it cut towards its target. ...

His sharp teeth had punctured skin, the sweet release of liquid as blood filled his mouth. The taste was vile.
The blond werewolf yelped as he narrowly missed Horus's next attack. The blade skimmed across his fine hair, shearing some off neatly and completely off his flank.
O Death He prayed silently, realising for the first time he may not come out of this alive. Spare me over for another year.[i/]
The werewolf hung back, wondering what Horus was to do next.

Noticiing that arrow had pulled back, horus pressed the attack. Jumping into the air, he backflipped as he changed direction to land behnd arrow.
Letting out an ear splitting howl of fury he charged, mouth wide open, aiming for arrow's throat.

Arrow snarled out a low growl at the charge, trying to run to one side. He brought his own jaw up to try to deflect the attack, hoping that his skill and experience would help for it was clearly obvious Horus had more strength.

Noting the change in arrows position too late, horus's razor sharpe teeth meet arrows lower face and neck, not the accuracey horus had wished for, but still doing damage. The taste of wereblood was sickly sweet, and ignited a stream of pure rage inside horus's already adrenaline fueled veins.
Horus let his wieght and momentum carry him through the blow, trying to wrestle arrow to the floor so he could finish him.

Airlia flew following Arrow. He was so easy - a shining light in the darkness of Midian. His mind was swift and direct, no wonder she had called him Arrow. His other name was silly and nondescript. She supposed that he might be called something else now he had found his first Mistress again. Airlia had always known it was a matter of time and had her fun out of the blond werewolf.
But she was frighted of Horus, how he might be. She had given him power, part of her soul. Oh what had she done? In his world he had cast some kind of spell over her, for she worried sincerely over his well-being. Airlia felt tears well up in her eyes as she approached the scene.
Blood filled the air, despite herself she salivated. It disgusted her.
Arrow was on his back, howling at a high pitch and writhing under Horus. Horus was wounded too. The light haired werewolf was changing form rapidly in an attempt to gain advantage over the bigger one, it was slightly nauseating to watch.
"Horus!" She yelled, flying close before landing. "Horus!" The word was ripped from her throat, screamed through throttled lungs. It did not feel like her own. The ground was too solid and hard under her feet as she ran to him, heedless of her own safety. She had to make him understand, to see that he had to stop this madness and find himself.
"Please, you have to stop!" Airlia was panting with fear, those brimming tears fallen over her pale cheeks. "Don't kill Arrow!"

holding arrow down with one paw, whilst bringing in his teeth for the kill, horus heard the distressed call of ... her...
It felt distant to him, almost completly foreign to him, but what he felt when he heard that voice melted his heart. He felt repulsion for what he had become, Horror at what he had done to his friend arrow as he looked down and saw the wounds inflicted, and something else, a warm feeling of longing when he thought of who the voice belonged to.
He lifted his paw off arrow, looked airlia in the eyes, Those deep purple eyes streaming with tears and fear, fear for his wellbieng , he kept her gaze for a second and then looked away, repulsed at what he had done.
He changed back, silently, slumped down into a kneel, colapsed to his right and began to weep heavily.
"Airlia..." he said as he wept.... "im sorry..."

Airlia embraced him, wide eyed and frantic. She pressed her small body into his as tightly as she could ever manage to show him that she was here, that she was glad he was safe.
"It's all right." She whispered. That was a lie. He had killed here where there should have not been killing. He would have to live with that. Arrow was wounded, though moving. He had sat down in front of Horus with a bleeding, ravaged face. He looked calm for all of it. Airlia rose a shaking hand to offer healing to them both.

Horus held airlia, and felt the longing with in him calm down, if only for a second.. Arrow stared into his eyes as he sat down infront of him.
he couldnt meet his gaze. How could he begin to attone for that... savagry.. he couldnt. He doubted if he ever could gain his friends trust back.
"Airlia.... " he said again through his tears "dont..." he turned her hand that was pointed towards him to arrow.. "i must live with what i have done here today.. these" he stopped shaking and staring down at the floor between his crossed legs he added "these scars will be a reminder... " Still staring at the floor, arrow... im...sorry.. Shifting his gaze from the floor to airlias eyes.. he smiled through bloodied teeth "ill be ok, Thank you..." he paused again as he shook with guilt "thank you for stopping me.."

Airlia healed Arrow. Her skill was not that good - his face would be scarred for some time but it would heal eventually. The blond man commented blankly, "Martyrdom will do little for lives lost." Where they were was deserted now, devoid of life. The night pressed in. Airlia shivered delicately, extracting herself from Horus. She could feel Arrow staring at her and for once his gaze was unnerving her. At length Arrow spoke. "It is just as well Airlia stopped you. Wolfsbane is... an evil thing." Airlia shook her head, "It was an accident... I didn't know..." She trailed off uncertainly. Arrow answered with a forcefulness that was shocking, "But now you know. You know what it can do - what he is capable of." ~*~ Arrow was at his wit's end. Airlia, the cold and removed beauty who he had known for so long, had been tamed by the half-wild Horus. She literally fawned over him and it was slightly sickening. No, something had changed in Airlia, and Horus certainly. The obsidian werewolf had been ready to kill him, and Airlia's presence had been a welcome miracle. She had saved his life. But it grated - the feeling of betrayal and yet knowing Horus was under the influence was a complex situation to bear. Then, there was the underlying knowledge that Horus and Airlia were in love. They may not admit it, but it was obvious. You must protect her. He intoned to Horus exclusively If you are to love her.
