Name: High-Captain Orpheus Elvamir, though his sister refers to his pet name "Orpheo" most of the time.
Age: Eighty four, though to his elven race this is not so old compared to our short fleeting human lives. He is considered young for his considerable position in ranks.
Species: Orpheo calls himself an Elf, of the Ice-Stone clan. Though coming from an alternate reality to Midian, it is hard to put him in a category.
Appearance: Orpheus is tall amongst his people, easily reaching six foot with some to spare. His blood runs a dark copper-laden blue, and his skin is a pale shadow of this colour, a white-blue tinge. His hair, long straight and almost black, though when the light hits it, it seems purple for an instant. Orpheo's face is almost deadpan at all times; his military career has had little chance to let emotion show. He has a narrow, sardonic face, with large eyes the colour of indigo. His mouth is a straight line, ready to twitch into a frown, which is quite often with Orpheus.
His clothes are generally leftovers from his previous existence, sky-blue armour wrought from magic, light and strong and tough, it has lasted well. Though he tries to avoid armour-wearing in the palace, it sets a bad impression. Instead he wears drab clothes, uncaring for fashion. Normally found wearing dark trousers, shirt and coat. At all times Orpheus wears the gifts of silver from his family; a band circling his throat and wrists. These adornments sense magic being used, and detects those who seek to harm the wearer, turning them ice cold.
Weapons: Orpheus fights with the duel-sword if he is not using magic spells, being adept at both. His swords are both shining crystal, for the only metal in his home world was silver and gold, useless for a cutting edge. The white crystal he fights with has been refined and expertly made, so giving a razor-sharp blade, and is maintained by Orpheo's own magic.
Orpheus has knowledge of fighting without weaponry, having being trained well in unarmed combat. His height and sinewy figure allow for freedom of movement, and he often has the upper hand on those with more strength due to his expert training.
His magic casting is prone to failing due to his own self-doubting at times, especially if he is against a stronger opponent, though he will keep trying obstinately until he does manage to cast.
History: Once one of the five High-Captains of the Hakata Army, Orpheus excelled in his military career, being so young to reach such a post. He was still in active service even at this stage in his promotions, his thirst to prove himself still strong.
The human-uprisings in his world caused much distress amongst his people, and he rode against them, against their leader; the hero of the blind. She was a formidable opponent, though eventually Orpheus found himself at a stalemate. She offered a duel, and Orpheus could not refuse her offer. Due to the raging force of magic that was produced that day, perhaps to the random nature of quanta phenomenae, he was transported to Midian, where he eventually dealt vengeance to the woman, and now seeks a purpose in this world, ready to carve out a future for himself.
