Draxus sat down at his desk, a weary expression on his porcelain white face... He removes a key from his suit coat, and inserts it into one of his drawers. Slowly he searches through it, his face a picture of boredom now...
He apparently finds that for which he was searching, a small yellowing piece of paper with an eternal but forgotten language on it. His red flaring eyes search the elaborate twisting words, before he sets it down and signs it off at the bottom. It was his contract, that also served as what was essentially the deeds to the palace. The King had requested an update on the agreement, which Draxus felt was acceptable, despite his slight annoyance with the matter.
The palace would now house, within its basements, a laboratory dedicated to rearing a breed of soldier, a type specifically commissioned by the King. In return, Draxus was to gain control of this small, but, hopefully powerful army when not needed by Midian.
Draxus could use these creatures as much needed guards, as well as servants to use around the entire city. Of course, Draxus would use this very army to fell the King, should he ever request a change on a deal made with Hell's elite General ever again.
A slight smile spread over his lips as he pondered this.
Other matters.
Lunavyre... Maybe he should speak to Orpheus... He knew of the Elf's feelings for Luna, the palace was essentially linked to Draxus in such a way now he could vaguely sense the emotions and feelings of its patrons. It annoyed him. But... Yes, a small talk wouldn't harm any proceedings, when the time was right. Now, the final problem of the evening spilled into his mind...
A new wave of assaults against Heaven was to begin, and he couldn't yet go himself, and Aiwas was no longer around to send in his stead... What's more, Heaven was now aware that Midian may play a part in this war... And it would no doubt send agents to map the place...
It would seem a fight was coming to the palace, if he was lucky, the kind of fight he was made for, a battle against true angels of Heaven. His mind was so dull lately... So bored and unused..
He hoped that they would send Gabriel.
