Draxus was a little skeptical that Damien had meant to show her, but remained silent. Instead he listened to all she had to say, before standing himself and walking towards Khellesi a little...
"I am a mere creation of this time and this set of realms... I am no God nor anything of the same power. I am a tool of the Gods... Immortal until slain by a power greater than I, nothing more."
He said this tonelessly, uninterested in his own position in the scheme of things.
"As for becoming a true immortal, one to surpass time... Why? I don't see any reason for this... Especially if one loses their memory of the previous times as you seemed to."
He sighed before pulling another seat out, sitting down...
"All that I seek to achieve can be achieved before the end, so to speak, I know this much."

Khellesi sneers, her great wings shifting on her back, almost threateningly as he strides to wards her. "How fatalistic of you Lord Draxus" She says with a fang revealing smirk... "I thought you more than a mere puppet..."
Khellesi shakes her head as if disapointed... But she was not here to insult him and must refrain from losing her temper with his short sightedness.
"This time is different, Draxus, a creature such as Damien has not existed before, his Revelations have never been... revealed. This time, the Gods will carry their knowledge into the next cycle" Her tone turns dark, edged with subtle unreasoning, the lust for endless immortality piercing though her words.
"But, I digress, I have not come to you to coax you into Godliness, it is but a suggestion that one as accomplished as yourself might consider. But no, I'm here for your assistance in uniting the realms and layers, all those that endure the plague we know as Damien..."

Draxus merely sits and listens, his face showing no emotion at all, his hands clasped together throughout Khellesi's speech.
A moment passes after she is done talking.
"If I am a puppet, with no care for this world or the next, why would I help you? If he can truly end everything, completely and utterly, why should I care?"
He just stares into space, his red eyes flickering softly.
"When the end comes, he'll win every battle anyway... There is no way to end him, not you, nor I, nor all the Gods of all time and existence."
He turns and looks at Khellesi with a hard stare.
"It is more likely that all others would fall at his feet, beg him for a mercy he has no way of understanding, that he doesn't even hear them ask for."

"Draxus, you misinterpret me" Khellesi smiles, almost kindly were it not for the hardness in her eyes. "Puppets accept and never question, a puppet simply obeys. I do not believe you are capable of any of these, which is why I come to you." She pauses, maintaining her expression before then turning and walking gracefully to the arm chairs located by the window.
"Damien is strong, too strong. He is a maniac that we allow to roam and terrorize and for this, we are as mad as him." Khellesi seats herself on a velvet royal blue chair. Her smile has once again disappeared to leave the stern politicians face. "I cannot believe that you would fight and command your armies in the final battle, only to know that you fight for death, no, not even death, but a complete end to existence." She turns her blank gaze to the window, one would not believe how strongly she felt just by looking at her... "Fight for Ascension, Draxus. That is the purpose of our final war"

Draxus sighs a little as he listens to Khellesi's words. He rubs his temples, though he had no headache, more just a pressure that seemed to be pushing him in a way he knew was not necessary.
"I see no way to ascend, and I see no way to oppose Damien. I will be gone long before the end as it were, and thus I cannot generate an interest, even a false one. Come back in a few hundred years and see if my mind has changed."
He stands, and begins to move towards the door.
"You would be better to talk to my Master... It is he who despises Damien the most, and it is he who would be more interested in this eternity you speak of... My destiny was never written beyond this Palace, this time."
He strolls through the door, brushing his hair back a little, before disappearing down a corridor.
(Exit Draxus)

Khellesi simply watches him leave, her eyes featureless and glazed. She makes no noise once he has left, only continuing to stare at the doors that he had shut on her. The empty library annoyed her in some way, utter silence was stifling. Her task was proving far more difficult than she had hoped and the thought of approaching Draxus like some desperate shadow was unthinkable. His unquestionable devotion to his master was certainly his down-fall, to risk everything in his servitude and for this to end in nothingness... 'Illogical' was a word Khellesi did not understand...
Perhaps the mask would be the only way, though she had hoped to settle this through political debate rather than simplistic bartering... Khellesi sighs, would she alone out-live the 'immortals' once more? Her portal materialises, beyond it lies her realm and her servant Equiya. She steps through into her home, a fowl mood to accompany her return...
(Exit Khellesi)
