Draxus strolled into the library, wine in hand, a glance behind to see if Luna was coming. He almost yawned as he sat down, setting the bottle down with a dull thud... His eyes dulled almost entirely, his lids closing over a little...
Most of his time of late had been dedicated to a series of conferences here in Midian, the start of an initiative to set up guards at it's edge. Midian had of course been, and still is getting larger and larger, so this was proving a difficulty to work out, plus, not all wanted it. Some argued that the realm should remain a free one, so all may come and go as they please. Some argued that this was unstable, and those entering should be checked and asked a few questions as they do so.
Draxus wanted some restrictions on the realm, and he was in the minority.
Draxus had also noticed that out of the 200 or so 'diplomats' and 'politicians' there were a few familiar faces. Araquel, the 'Broken' Angel, surely here for Limbo's say, as well as Mei-Oh, the Lord of an alternate Hell, similar to his own.
He glanced around, looking for Luna again... He needed to speak to her, there was chance he'd be leaving again, on another, more irritating matter, and for longer.

Luna skulked up the stairs, dragging her heels and frankly a little annoyed at herself for complying with Drax's rather complacent 'Follow me' nod. But... He was here now, she might as well be with Him for what little time she had. She watched Him go into the library and then followed behind.
Luna stood in front of Him like a child in the presence of the headmaster, awaiting discipline and punishment. She pouts sulkily and stares at the floor, both loving and hating Him all at once! He had such nerve! Calling her in here only to kiss her cheek and be off again undoubtedly! She wished it was her who made Him run around frantically in her shadow, awaiting reassurance, attention, love... If only she could rival His power, rise to the same infamous status and become His equal, then maybe He would let her in for once...

Draxus smiled a little at Luna, before standing again and walking to her, his arms coming to rest on her shoulders, moving down her arms...
"Luna... Midian is becoming an even more dangerous place, as I'm sure you know... We have seen how easy it is for random beings to enter..."
He drops his arms to his sides, turning away from her, reaching into a gleam, his hand disappearing into thin air... He removes his sword, the Blood Star from it, and turns back to Luna as the rip seals...
"I want you to keep hold of this, it'll protect you against those that are coming... You'll be targeted, because you're close to me."
He holds out the sword, handle towards her.

Lunavyre's blood was boiling beneath the cold pale white of her skin... How dare He?! No apology, no warm embrace to make up for His absence not even a brief inquiry into how she was! Just straight to business, that's how it always was with Him! Luna can feel the corners of her mouth coming together in the ever familiar pout again. This was a reaction she had long ago given up trying to fight...
"I don't want it" She says plainly, looking down at the elegantly crafted katana. It was enticing as a weapon but Luna did prefer her guns, one of which she removes from its holster in her left boot. "What's wrong with my own weapons?" Luna inquires, she knew she was only asking to be an annoyance, to get some sort of reaction out of Him. She hoped He'd make her take the sword, to prove He really feared for her safety... But her Lord never was one for emotions...

Draxus sighed a little, yet still held the sword out to her...
"There is to be an invasion, by those of Heaven... They might come here, and this weapon has killed enough angels to have become imbued with the Angel-Death property. It'll hold up better than your guns, that is, until you've used them enough against the angelic... But that could take years."
He steps towards her now, his free hand moving to hers, and opening her fingers. He places the grip of the sword in her hand...
"I'd feel that you were better protected with this... And... I've decided I'll be staying here now, with you... I'll of course do all I can should they attack, which they might even not, but if they do... I'll take care of it."
He smiles a little, his pale face gaining a slight hint of colour.

Luna shivers at His touch, His elegant fingers lifting her own to meet the hilt of the sword and this time she takes it without argument. She is happy to hear that He will remain with her in the palace, but how long that would last she didn't know. If the battle did indeed come to Midian it would most certainly take Him away from her...
"I'll keep it with me then, if you think it a good idea" Luna grins in response to His own vague smile. It was an unusual sight, His expression rarely shifted even in her presence. She wraps her arms around Him suddenly, her head to His chest. She seems a child in His arms pressed against the fine material of his clothing in mad delight, giddy in just His presence. She forgets how angry she had been, it made no difference now that her Lord and Master was home again with her.

Draxus holds her gently, his gaze dulling as he looks past her, his lips to her hair a little...
"Don't worry about anything... If a fight does come, from Heaven, there are more in Midian now than there ever has been... The meeting I was at, those there amount to a force to be reckoned with... Araquel was there you know."
He steps back and looks at her, his hand moving for the wine. His face tired looking even in it's porcelain clarity.
"I was going to go, I was going to tell you I would be away for longer this time... But I've changed my mind, the others can handle any political affairs without me I'm sure."
He uncorks the bottle... Somehow... And retrieves two glasses from a nearby cabinet, taking them back to the table and pouring the wine into each. He then looks back to Luna, motioning for her to sit at his side as he himself almost slumps into a chair.

Luna grudgingly releases Him from her embrace, saddened that He had thought to go away again, to leave her for even longer and in the wake of battle too??
"Lucky me" She pouts, and sits in response to His request taking her glass of wine. A sigh escapes her, it didn't really matter now. He was here and He was staying. Luna sips her drink gratefully. To drink wine with her Lord was more satisfying than any blood. He was quiet as ever, and Luna wanted to know everything, where He had been for so long, surely not at the meeting? What He'd discussed and with whom?
"Why have you decided to stay? Wont they need you?" --- The Library doors creak open, their sound echoing throughout the hall below and revealing beyond them the Underworld Goddess, Khellesi. Luna scowls fiercely. Great... of all the beings to interrupt...

Khellesi strides into the room of endless shelves and books, almost stifling, enveloping they were, dominating the walls and surrounding one immediately as they entered. Khellesi had never been one for reading... The information concealed within books or scrolls seemed an uneventful deja vu... Nothing was particularly interesting...
Her neon green eyes fall now to the two in the centre. Draxus and the double winged one seated beside him, scowling as ever. This being was mildly unnerving, possessing qualities similar to her own... A prophecy had once revealed that her children would grow to replace her, a threat she had stamped out hastily at their birth. This female came annoyingly close and prophets were known for their riddles... However, the girl obviously had some bond with Draxus, a creature who's armies might prove a little destructive to her own realm...
"I have information for you Draxus" Khellesi says, with much authority to her tone, eyes falling on the girl again and hoping she would know to leave... It didn't take long before the brat was storming off in heels that clicked aggressively on the stone floor...

Draxus watches Luna storm off, annoyed at Khellesi immediately for the interruption.
"I very much doubt you have anything to tell me that I don't already know, Goddess."
He turns to Khellesi now, his eyes flaring as he stands.
"Oh and from now on, knock, seeing as you obviously knew I was in here... Manners cost nothing, you know."

Khellesi sneers at the incompetence of this mere general, perhaps he was not worthy of the information she possessed... But it was in her best interest to share it with those in political power. Draxus, it seemed, had a fair bit of knowledge in this area.
"Your diminutive mind could simply not comprehend the amount of knowledge I hold over you..." She stands beside him now, as tall as he is their eyes level, equal. "As for manners... I apologise." A smile adorns her dark, stone lips. An expression so utterly rare for the Goddess that it disappears in an instant without so much as a trace.
"It has been my most humble pleasure to receive such an enlightenment that I now possess knowledge unknown to yourself and all others of the one called Damien..." A flicker of the smile again.... "Shall we sit?"

Draxus shrugged a little, a bored expression adorning his face as he returns to his seat.
He sips his wine slowly, his eyes dulling again, his movements becoming slightly more sluggish.
"Why do you think I'd be interested in him? All he is to me is an annoyance, he is an idiot in every sense, unable to exist fully."
A sigh escapes him, his eyes closing slightly...
"But I suppose if you're willing to share I may as well rejoice in your generosity?"

Khellesi blinks slowly at the Hell General, apparently unamused by his sarcasm, but certainly not deterred by it. She too seats herself, her wings folding neatly over the back of the chair.
"An interesting choice of words, Draxus, 'an annoyance' indeed" Her expression dead pan, hands spread upon the lacquered wood of the table before them. She has positioned herself directly opposite him so that her eyes fix upon him with a relentless stare.
"Damien is powerful, beyond all of us, you know that. It would be foolish to ignore this fact. For a creature to exist so boldly as he does... and for us to allow it is madness! You know of Ragnarok, a war between us all, so destructive it will end everything. Or so we had believed, but I know that this is an event that has happened over and over, creation begins again and again, and I have been apart of this cycle every time."
Khellesi stares at the Demon, her features much the same as always. She knows it will take more than a brief explanation to get him on her side, to understand her way of thinking. But he was a politician at heart, was he not? If not, a warlord certainly...
"Damien is the build up materials discarded by this process each time. What creation had meant to keep from us has somehow possessed him. Draxus, if Damien should chose to end this cycle, be it mindlessly or not, he has the power to do it..."

Draxus stares somewhat out of focus at the far wall... He remains silent, his mind working over what he had just heard. Finally, a theory behind Damien...
"Explain to me... How you know this?"
He turns to her, his red eyes ablaze with a thirst, for knowledge, and a flicker of hope that somewhere within this information lies the key to destroying him utterly. His hatred for Damien ran deep, after he was imprisoned by the being, for almost 200 years... An experiment that had backfired greatly.

Khellesi stands slowly and walks with supernatural grace to wards the many books aligning the walls... She always preferred to stand...
"Damien has shown it to me, and he meant to do it, of this I'm utterly certain" She touches the books gently, feeling the rough, taught skin that wrapped them. "But I know it to be true. I know now that I have survived this process many times... An instinctual feeling." Her eyes narrow and she casts a sideways glance to Draxus, her pose suggesting interest in the books but her eyes revealing something else... "I am surprised you do not feel the same, that is, I am surprised you are not as I am. Everlasting. But one might seek to obtain such power surely? Now that we know immortality truly is what it is? That one can indeed live forever..."
