Beyond the beautifully carved ebony doors, visitors are greeted with the over-whelming site of the entrance hall. Gleaming black marble floors stretching towards two symetrical curved stair cases. Adorned in stylish black and red Venetian decor the hall makes a breath-taking first impression on guests. Lit softly with decadent candle chandeliers, their fiery glow merging with the silver illumination of the moon, filtered gently through the glass dome above.
The far wall is dominated by an extravagant gold and silver organ, designed to accompany the orchestral strings that feature alongside the many elaborate parties and balls that take place here in the splendour of this impressive room, overlooked by the Lord of the Palace himself from the gallery above. It is a huge privilege to attend these soirees and not likely to be forgotten in hurry...
